Tineo Takes Shape

Turning an empty space into Tineo

Windsor, California

We officially moved into our production space on May 1st.

Since then, it’s been a mix of the unglamorous and the exciting. Painting walls, getting plumbing sorted, and figuring out how everything is going to fit and function day to day. At the same time, we were able to work with a local brewery to acquire some production equipment they were no longer using, which has been a huge step forward in getting things off the ground. We’re actually a little farther ahead than expected at this point.

Before starting Tineo, I spent 17 years in biotech manufacturing. I stepped away from that a couple years ago, but being back in a production environment has been a great reminder of how much I enjoy working with my hands and building things. There’s something satisfying about working with production tanks, connecting process hoses, and tightening down tri-clamps.

On the regulatory side, all federal and state license applications have been submitted. Right now, we’re working closely with the Town of Windsor on wastewater requirements and the remaining local approvals needed to operate.

The timeline hasn’t changed much. We’re still aiming for around September to begin producing commercial batches.

Between now and then, the focus is on dialing everything in. Testing equipment, refining processes, and making sure that when we do start producing, we’re doing it right from day one.

Looking forward to getting this into your hands later this year.
